Opa pessoal.

Acabei de instalar o postgre no ubuntu pel synaptic só que ele não me da a senha o.o
tento login postgres e nenuma senha e da dados invalidos ¬¬

E também como abro aquela ferramenta que vem junto com ele? Não sei o comando dela ¬¬

Não sei a senha padrão de instalação, mas faça o seguinte...
Vá até o pg_hba.conf e sete (temporariamente) o acesso como TRUST para o usuário local.
Reinicie o postgres.
Você vai conseguir entrar sem senha.
Faça login e altere a senha do superuser para uma senha que você vá lembrar.
Feito isso, vá até o pg_hba.conf e altere o acesso para md5 novamente (ou o que você quiser).
Reinicie o postgres.

$ sudo apt-get install pgadmin3

A senha padrão no Linux, se não estou enganado é em branco ou o mesmo nome do usuário, então tente:
usuário: postgres e senha: em branco
usuário: postgres e senha: postgres

insatalado postgres no ubuntu

sudo apt-get install postgresql-8.3

instalar pgadmin para administrar banco postgres

sudo apt-get install pgadmin3

mudar senha do usuario postgres para poder conectar ao postgres (este procedimento é importante se vc nao quiser ficar quebrando a cabeça para achar a senha padrao do postgres)

primeiro passo:
sudo -u postgres psql template1
segundo passo:
alter user postgres with password 'digite aqui a sua senha';
\q (para sair)

abra o pgadmin e crie uma nova conexao com o banco local:
endereco: localhost
porta:5432
usuario: postgres
senha: (a senha que vc definiu)

To em outra máquina, em menos de 1 hora instalei php, apache, mysql, postgres, os módulos e frontends para eles.
No windows fiquei a tarde toda e não consegui fazer rodar postgres no php ¬¬

PostgreSQL 8.2 and above include the instrumentation functions in the "adminpack" contrib module.
