While Carmelo Anthony’s signature line with the Jordan Brand leaves a bit to be desired, his Denver Nuggets-colored retros have always been highly sought after. While IG user, michman98 may be the first to get his hands on the AJ2 “Melo”, the rest of you Jordan 11 will have to wait for its official drop on June 9th.
The third known style of Virgil Abloh’s OFF WHITE x Air Jordan 1 gets a first look New Jordans today. The “Dark Powder Blue” colorway dubbed the UNC for it’s obvious ties to Michael Jordan’s alma mater features the same aesthetic that includes micro-perforations along the faux stitch seams, the exposed mesh at the tongue, and the multi-layered panels that provide the deconstructed look. This is the third known colorway of the highly popular OFF WHITE x Air Jordan 1; the previous two editions include February’s unisex version in white, and Jordan Retro 11 the “Chicago” edition that released in September and November of last year.
It makes complete sense for Jordan Brand to scale out these marquee collaborations if it makes sense. With the upcoming release with American denim icon Levi’s it seems fitting to take a similar approach. Rumored to release in June, a black denim colored edition of the Levi’s x Air Jordan 4 is set to Jordans Shoes release in limited quantity.
